The Earth going through climate change is not the issue the issue is the daily use of 100 million barrels of fossil fuel leading to an abnormal spike in the Earths temperature brought about by increased co2 emissions, resulting in extreme weather conditions globally..

The article is from MARCH of this year, not this month. So it is NOT a current event.

It's incredible that anyone can seriously try to deny climate change. Yes, temps fluctuate but this change has been cumulative and is now resulting in sea level rise, shrinking ice sheets, melting arctic sea ice, increased ocean acidity, increased record high temperatures and other problems.

There is another climate factor in play that gets little attention, but is very significant. It's called Global Dimming, and not a joke about people's IQ or anything, lol, but a proven theory that 10% less sunlight is reaching the ground than back in the 1950's. Some guy did experiments testing the water evaporation rates with pans of water in the desert, back in the 50's. He was able to record the solar strength at ground level by doing this. Another guy picked up on that in the 90's, and did the same experiments, in the same location, same times of day, same relative humidity, ect ect and found the evaporation rates were lower, and that 10% less sunlight was reaching the ground. They called him nutty but then he did another experiment in the days after 911 when all the airplanes were grounded. In just a few days the evaporation rate increased by a few percentage points, then dropped again after air traffic was resumed.

Some pollutants in the atmosphere that we have introduced, are reflecting some of the sunlight back into space, which is probably a good thing because the increased co2 levels have balanced it out, so were not getting cooler from the decreased sunlight, but slightly warmer. The scary thing, if every country in the world stopped polluting all at once, the atmosphere would clean itself within a few months to a year, all those particles would settle down to ground level and the sun would be 10% stronger again, but the co2 levels would not go down, just the reflective particles. The peaches would be OK, but we would get much hotter, very quickly.

Don't forget about the mastodons they found, frozen solid in an ice sheet while they were eating tropical vegetation in a temperate zone. Things can change pretty quick. Hollywood made a pretty good instant freeze action movie about 10 years ago, based on the theory that when co2 reaches a certain level, it triggers a deep freeze of arctic hurricanes that take us back to the ice age.

In the short term, being a little warmer suits human needs quite well, much of the world's land mass is too cold to grow crops, winters are harsh in the northern regions, lasting 6 months or more. But someday we are in for a surprise, I'm quite sure. The only solution is technology, we can't go backwards and must press on with scientific study and learn how to live in balance with the planet, without cramping our lifestyles, but improving them. It's going to be a tough job.

And here in Texas we've had record LOWS and record rainfall for months now. Same with much of the south.

I'm just saying that to point out that whatever we personally are experiencing tends to color our perception of just what is really going on.

I heard this too but never a peaches shortage here in Vegas. Delicious peaches from Oregon or Washington!

This is TOTAL B.S., but say it is true. What do we do to fix it? Wind, and solar can not power the Earth. Maybe more nuke plants?
