I am not insulted. There is a rational view in these lists to read the thing before you post. If it is too long or dull. Go away. I do that all the time...simply because I will not spend the time to read a 400 post thread to point out the thesis is absurd.

Of all the suspicious factors in this story, them not using the Epirb is the most suspicious. What did they think it was for, making coffee ? Looks like even the news organizations are beginning to say "Wait a minute, this doesn't make sense !"
I bet in a short while we find out this was all a hoax, and the ladies were trying for a reality show or movie deal. When it walks like a duck....................
Perhaps a rough guess would be abot 45 degrees or so. Not sure exactly as wind and speed will affect it, but I'm a powerboater. so a sailer can fill you in perhaps.

My wife wondered what happened to their boat after the rescue? Is it left for salvage or towed along back to harbor? Could the Navy vessel take it aboard? ANyone have a link to more details?
The sailboat is currently adrift, and the pair hopes that it is found by another ship and can be repaired.

Yea, I guess that would be leaned over right good. As I said, I'm a powerboater. Twin diesels for me and 30 plus knots. Only leaning in the turns!
