64 year olds ought to know better. Yes, the kid was being a butthole, but an adult need to be the adult. By the way, the parent(s) of this kid failed big time.
I don’t feel sorry for the student at all. He’s clearly trash, but I don’t think the teacher was justified in initiating a physical fight with him, nor do I think the teacher deserves over $100,000 from GoFundMe because of this. The teacher could’ve handled the situation differently and this would not be news.

Years ago a friend from high school called me. He wanted advice on a situation. His 13 year old stepson cold cocked him, got the first punch in and knocked him out then left him on the floor. He wasn't sure what to do.
For those of you saying the kid should be allowed to throw the first punch and then it's only a kid, you badly underestimate the danger of the situation.
