"A proposed bill would make it harder for Colorado parents to opt their children out of immunizations for personal or religious reasons by requiring an in-person visit to their local health department to get a signature on the exemption form."
That's IT, MT. No revoking of religious or PB exemptions, no limiting medical exemptions. Get off these conspiracy websites.
I don’t think you read the actual bill. It does erode medical exemptions. You’re the one reading editorials rather then going directly to the source. You’re the one who’s hurling insults by the ton.

Of course people who don’t vaccinate consider the risk of death from disease. How can you even believe that they would not.
They consider the risk from the vaccine to be greater than the risk from the disease, which is not true.

Febrile seizures are common after vaccination. They may scare the bejeebus out of parents but they are also benign.

"Febrile seizures are a common and typically benign childhood condition, occurring in 2-5% of children at some point during their first five years of life. Febrile seizures have an estimated background incidence of 240–480 per 100,000 person-years in children under five years, although this varies considerably by age, genetics, co-morbidities and environmental risk factors. There are no long-term effects of simple febrile seizures, with the possible exception of an increased risk of recurrence [1-4].

Considering the benign nature of simple febrile seizures, the rarity of vaccine-induced febrile seizures and the relative frequency of fever related to natural infection particularly among young children, the benefits of vaccination greatly outweigh the minimal risk of vaccine complications."
Keep in mind that it is not the vaccine that causes the seizure, it's the fever. If a vaccine causes an encephalopathy, which is very rare, and seizures result from the encephalopathy, further doses of that vaccine - not necessarily a different vaccine - would be contraindicated.

Try to overlay a map of the measles outbreak, with sanctuary cities and states. They coincide. Truth is, measles outbreaks are almost never caused by children born and raised here, whether vaccinated or not. Such outbreaks are caused by people (not just children) who are here illegally and residing in so-called sanctuary areas.

Perhaps much of the problem is due to non-citizens who refuse to assimilate to the extent that they avoid compliance with the expected behaviors for citizens.
No. Illegal aliens come from countries that vaccinate. Measles is usually imported by a citizen who travels abroad and catches it or a traveler here legally from another country who brings it with him.

Medical exemptions will always be available. As we continue to see outbreaks due to clusters of people who do not vaccinate with no medical contraindications just because they do no want to, many still fearing autism, philosophical and religious exemptions will disappear in more states.

Which previously recognized medical exemptions are being "eroded"?

The emergency measles order New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio issued will face a legal challenge from those who say the city can’t force people to get vaccinated for the disease.

Michael Sussman, a New York civil rights lawyer, said attorneys are already working on a lawsuit to challenge the April 9 order, which requires unvaccinated individuals in certain affected zip codes in the city to receive the measles-mumps-rubella, or MMR vaccine.

“I hope by Friday something is filed,”...

Maybe I'm reading your statement wrong, but this post sounded like you believe a seizure should be enough reason to get a valid medical exemption. Sorry if I misunderstood your intent.

Rockland didn't go far enough!!!

https://abc7ny.com/health/measles-ou...-some/5239006/

Everyone, not only children, who live, work, or travel to these zip codes? 39 adults caught measles in this outbreak. How are they going to enforce this? Knock on the doors of 1,000's of apartments? Stop people in the streets, stores, restaurants, and places of business demanding to see "Papers,Citizens". Hasidic don't ride buses or the subway system to other areas? If you rode the subway system on such and such a date, you might have been exposed to measles? That could be MILLIONS of people.

All adults have, and carry around with them, their vaccination records from decades ago? Ask your Pediatrician, if they are still even ALIVE, for your records? Were they put in a database 20+ years ago? Hey, Grannies you better go have your tithers done for your PROOF of immunity from childhood. Or maybe just get that MMR vaccine anyway when you are 80?

If that Rockland edict for children under 18 out in public was declared far reaching by a judge, this one definitely will have lawsuits in the process demanding proof of vaccination/immunity for every man, woman, and child in those zip codes. Maybe the Mayor can quarantine all those living or working in that area until all their vaccination records are checked. Can you say forced Ghetto?

That wasn't an editorial, it was a news report. Here's a very interesting REPORT about vaccine history in Colorado:
https://www.cpr.org/news/story/what-...ns-in-colorado

And another NEWS REPORT:
https://www.cpr.org/news/story/lawma...cination-rates

I dunno if you can call this a news report or not; it's FOX, but the information seems correct:

More news:

Please post a link to these sources of yours that say medical exemptions are going to be tightened here.

Do you not understand that this is a response to an ongoing measles outbreak?

The distinction is if the vaccine caused the seizure, not fever from the vaccine. For the vaccine to be the cause, there must be evidence of encephalopathy, which is very rare.

Not everyone, just unvaccinated people who have been exposed to measles.

I really don’t care if you educate yourself or not but don’t accuse me of getting my info from “conspiracy sites” when I went directly to the source and read the actual bill line by line rather then rely on journalists to read it for me and tell me a little bit about it. Feel free to look it up if you’re interested. If not, fine by me.
