It's a lot faster these days, since the County was sued for having bad bail practices, and keeping poor people locked up for not being able to make the high bails that were routinely set. Bail hearings now generally happen within 24-48 hours.

Cops couldn't prove DUI. Charges reduced to reckless driving.

Reckless driving when he wasn't driving.

It's like the people who get arrested for DUI while driving a lawn mower. I don't know which is dumber, the people on the lawn mower or the cops for arresting them for DUI. I can see that being disorderly conduct.. Something along those lines, but DUI? I can even give you DUI if they take the mower onto the public roads.. But they've nailed people mowing their grass.

Someone mentioned interlocks.. South Carolina at least, I can speak to.. And here you CAN be required to install an interlock after a first conviction. If it's.. I forget what they technically call it, something like extreme DUI.. Basically if BAC is over .15

I checked a few years ago, and .15 used to be legal in at least one state.

Must have been many, many years ago. .08 has been the law in the US since 2004

I use to know someone who got a DUI on a bicycle, while riding it on the sidewalk, lol.
