Driving is a privilege not a right. If you can't play by the rules take public transportation or buy a bicycle.

The amount of excuses in this thread for people breaking laws is ridiculous. Even if they capped fines the same would still complain about them.

But you're a libertarian right? But in spite of that you think it's ok with you for the government to seize your property to coerce payment of a debt (parking tickets) , and you're cool with the government deciding how long you can park your own car in front of your house? That just drips with hypocrisy

When, exactly, did we lose our Right to transport our goods or person by conveyance on the public roadways, and by which amendment? Is riding a bicycle still a right, or is that a privilege too?

But you guys voted in your politicians that made these very laws.
Why were those types of laws passed to begin with ? What problem was it solving ?

22651 CVC which covers authority to remove cars and 4000a which cover vehicles with expired reg were enacted in 1959, I would have been 12 or 13 at the time so I really can't tell you why they were enacted, but if you are really interested you could probably find out, google is your friend

Yeah, but they were only concerned with the candidate's view on abortion, and didn't care about tow-away zones. Isn't democracy wonderful?

Those tow laws were passed in 1959, at that time abortion was illegal everywhere in the US. So WTH are you even talking about?
