Is it common for people to take such small children to Disneyland? They're too small to be able to appreciate it. I'm wondering if there should be a minimum age for children. If they'd waited until their kids were older, maybe the adults would be more mature then, too, haha.

And not only that, when security finally arrived, they weren't even escorted out of the park. The guy in pink who'd landed a few punches was still walking around like he owned the place, looking for a few more faces to biff.

Yes, I have friends who have taken their babies to Disney World. One friend took her 2 month old to Disney World in the July heat. I don't get it. It seems like a huge expense when you can't even ride most of the rides, but she wanted baby pictures with the characters...

Quite common, yes. Children aren't charged for admission until they reach 3 years of age. Those who live in the area are not making a once-in-a-lifetime trip to the park, so they don't feel the need to wait until an age when their child will remember the day.

If you're waiting for these types of "adults" to mature... don't hold your breath.

I worked in shopping malls for years, an fight like the one in this video was a normal Saturday afternoon.

This does NOT happen at all of the venues you mention, or "anywhere crowds congregate." Let's be frank. These incidents generally involve certain groups of people. Where I live there have been entire festivals permanently discontinued, many more cops at State Fair, no more midway at Summerfest, park basketball courts dismantled, and even Greek Fest had to relocate from their church grounds to State Fair park to get away from the problems with people from some nearby sketchy neighborhoods. There is a common denominator in all these instances.

Get out of the big "diverse" cities, and various large events and crowded venues, even with alcohol flowing, have little to no problems. Strange.

I JUST saw the video for the first time. All I can say is DAMN. I am ashamed of humanity for this brawl.

The last savage attack by the guy in the red shirt against the girl in the beige top was especially uncalled for as the guy's mother was inadvertently knocked down by the girl. That said, the mother should have stayed her behind in the wheelchair. Note, I am not one who believes that you cannot hit a woman as a man; if the woman poses a threat to you (the woman in the beige outfit did not pose a threat to anyone when she was attacked), she is fair game.

This is a case of men behaving like savages and women wanting to join them. Oddly enough, the guy in the red shirt seems to know the girl in the beige (think he may have referred to her as his "woman" at one point), which makes me think of all of the horrible domestic violence that must go on in that video.

Lock all of these people the hell up. Ban them from ALL amusement parks for life.

To close, if I was Disney Security, I would have taken my time coming out, too. Those security guys didn't look too big and they weren't armed. I wasn't getting beat down/injured trying to break up such a disgrace during the highest heat of the moment.

I think that you are over-generalizing. Although I think that it is true that there are fewer "incidents" like these in rural and less diverse areas (because there are fewer people, duh), they do happen. Ever hear of the Hatfields and the McCoys?

More than a dozen people died and at least 10 people were wounded. Nine Hatfields were imprisoned, including seven Hatfields who were imprisoned for life and one Hatfield who was executed.

That's sad. About twenty years ago, we made a special trip to all the southern California amusement parks. Disneyland, Knotts Berry, Magic Mountain, Universal Studios, the water park at San Dimas and so on. In other words, all the parks seen in the old teen movies. No gang types back then, we had a blast.
