I don't think this will turn out well for this Deputy Sheriff.

Quote:
A deputy from the Pima county sheriff’s department who responded to the call reportedly determined that the teen was disturbing the peace, and decided to arrest him.

In the footage, the deputy can be seen kneeling on the ground and holding the teenager in a headlock. When the teen tries to break free, the officer tackles him, wrestling him to the floor.

“I will raise my voice to you whenever the [expletive] I want, you understand?” the officer shouts.

After a third teen begins filming, the second teen is placed in handcuffs and the deputy smashes his head into the wall.

This article title is a little misleading. This young man isn't immobile, and the cop has no way to restrain him (handcuffs) that are traditional.

What sort of restraint could you use, rather than physically holding him?

His caregiver called the cops because he was out of control. The cop did seem to be able to get him under control by physically holding him still.

He's a quadruple amputee, restrain him from doing what, rolling around on the floor?

The reason the cops were called is he was out of control and knocking over stuff - I think the garbage can.

Did you see the video? Quadruple amputee is a bit misleading. He's quite mobile.

The last few seconds reminded me of the scene in the mel brooks movie where the knight that is fighting says "i'll bite your knee"

Misleading? What is it that you don't understand about not having any arms or legs? Do you think he could have harmed the cop by beating him with his stumps? All that cop had to do was back off and talk to him, the kid couldn't outrun a snail

And to add insult to injury the cop smashes another kids face into a wall:

Quote:
At that point, the teenager recording the video from the next room, C.J., tells the deputy, "You asked him a question, and he answered."

"Shut the hell up!" the deputy snaps. He then walks over to the other teen, who is eating cereal, and tells him to "shut the hell up" and stay out of the situation as it does not involve him. The teenager tells the deputy to get out of his face.

"You're going to get arrested too," the deputy says.

Another teen in the group home then begins recording the incident. C.J. can be seen placing his cereal down and complying with the deputy by putting his arms behind his back.

C.J. is not resisting and the deputy has already restrained the teen when the deputy suddenly slams the 16-year-old's face into a wall. https://www.phoenixnewtimes.com/news...-legs-11393275

He's a 15 year old child who was abandoned by his parents and has no arms or legs, if I had to go through that I would probably do worse than knock a garbage can over, how is a kid supposed to rationally deal with all of that?

I'm not taking sides here. But the guy could spit or bite if a person gets close to them. The officer has a right to protect himself from those two actions.

Geezus..he got close to the kid, the boy didn't go after him, the cop put himself in range of being bitten or spit out by his actions
