Frequently Asked Questions _ AMBER Alert
I understand exactly what an Amber Alert is, and this one was for the State of Texas.

However, it's a national news story. It's just not a nationwide amber alert.

So, appropriate in the current events forum.

I did a quick google of his name, and innumerable out of state media articles came up, because it's a national news story.

Here's one link, from the Carolinas. Specifically says "National News" under the headline.

It does appear that a few posters on this forum aren't interested in missing persons stories, and I'd say to that, skip and scroll.

I consider Amber Alerts a national news story because depending on the type of kidnapping, the kids are often taken across state lines. This story was a carjacking with an apparently, unintended kidnapping so the kid was ditched a mile away from where he was kidnapped. Some actually make the national news and some don't.
