No. Any murder needs to be investigated and go through the court system. Why? Because people could be lying. In this case, it also involves people living here illegally (which is even trickier as far as courts go). If I read it right, it appears there were three attacks with the last one doing him in. Brass knuckles suggest, to me anyway, that they were gang members. As much as I hate child molesters, we can't become some banana republic.
How do you all feel about the petition (400K+ signatures) to release the brothers without requiring bail? Does anyone want them free in society? Particularly since they're illegal immigrants and unlikely to show up for court? The 2 brothers and their friend who participated are charged with capital murder (2) and aggravated assault (1).

Hmmmm. I haven't considered that aspect of it. Did they purchase those brass knuckles just for that occasion, or did they already have them in their possession? I don't personally know anybody who keeps brass knuckles in their house. If I did, I'd stay away from them. It's too weird.
Like you, I hate child molesters, but I have to be careful not to embrace vigilantes. Scary slope.
in my grandfathers day..............we are talking the 30's............a certain individual tried to molest my uncle...........Grandfather and some friends cornered him and beat him to a pulp. He was told to leave town and never return. He came back a year later. He was found dead on a country road. Back then there was a reason for some unsolved crimes.
Actually, no I did not say that at all. I said “our own” meaning legal citizens who are bad actors, child molesters, etc. We have plenty of that here, without taking on others who are running from their countries, without following the correct procedures.
But I have no need to defend myself from anyone here.

If there is strong evidence that the step father was actually a child molester, I'd support deporting them without added penalties. Freeing them into society, though? I'm not so sure about that.
I thought the brothers killed a child who was molesting the step father when I read the title.
