The Sun isn't a credible news source. All we know is supposedly what the murder told the cops. What are her friends saying? It sounds like something was going on, since it appeared to be a crime of passion. However, we don't really know. Off again, on again affair for two years? Yeah, maybe or maybe only in his mind. Perhaps something happened between them once, twenty times OR never. All I'm saying is that she can't talk to defend herself IF this stuff is untrue.
Overall, we rate The US Sun Right Biased based on story selection and editorial bias that favors the right. We also rate them Mixed for factual reporting due to overly sensationalized headlines, failed fact checks, and the promotion of misinformation.

Exactly. I wouldn't necessarily take his word for it. Maybe they had a one night stand or just innocent flirting and he just blew it up in his mind as a full blown love affair. The guy is missing one or two marbles.
I doubt if the police are "just taking his word for it." The article states that they CONFIRMED there was a two-year affair. If the claim is that the publication is unreliable, then I'd say don't believe any of it. Has this been stated elsewhere?
The police stated in the beginning that she had an ongoing affair with this guy for 2 years. They had her cell phone history.
They also said something to the effect that she was texting a total of 4 men in the last few years.
It was all directly quoted by police (whoever was speaking at the time) in various articles.
That’s right!
Common sense: if it was nothing personal between them - why would someone let the contractor in their home after midnight? In their spouse’s absence? argue with the contractor that late at night? take them to the basement in order to not wake a child?
She is somewhat culpable in her own death, sorry to say that, not that she deserved that.

Great point, why would she let him in otherwise? Most people would have called the police if he wasn't invited there, would not leave.

Oh, please. Sometimes people's bad choices lead to bad outcomes. It's a fact of life.
