Yup... you guys are all a royal pain in the... heart!
Pattie might not be there in person but definitely there in spirit. Hope all goes well. When Mr. NMS is all groggy ask what he meant about that week long trip to the Bahamas he was planning for the both of you!!!!!
Hubby was snoring like a tank needing an oil change last night! Saw the Nyquil in the kitchen which explained it. I think the flu shot doesn't work on him anymore. Every year he gets wrotten colds even though he got pumped full of the drug. I blame all the years he was used as a lab rat in the Military! I've never had the shot and the most I get is a short lived head cold. Same goes for our son.
Anyhoo, off taking photos today. Hopefully I get some decent shots. There'll be lots of walking involved, so that will count as my exercise.
Have a wonderful day, and good luck with the horse Evey.
Casino thanks you all for the well wishes. We had a long but uneventful day yesterday. It was 4 hours and 40 minutes each way, and we were fortunate to have clear roads and no precipitation. We had some digital x-rays from our vet and the vet at the clinic took a couple more from different angles. When they uploaded the one x-ray one of the vet techs said "Oh my G_d!" You know it looks bad when they react like that. My friend never missed a beat and her unhesitating response was "That's why he is here." If all goes well we should be able to pick him up tomorrow or the next day.
Shadow was bored out of her mind hanging out at the barn all day yesterday. I know this because she was wild all night last night.
We have been out to hunt in the woods around the house. If the roads stay clear we will go visit the cookie ladies later.
I dropped off a roll of film that is ready to be picked up this morning. New Tippy Toes pics available later today, once I get my scanner hooked up.
Yes, we do have a great crew here and I'm proud and happy to be part of it.
My prayers are with Mr. NMS today and my prayers are with Evey's friends horse.
I will say prayers when I get done posting this post.
I've been exercising and eating right but the weight has not dropped on the scale. I hate my scale. I'm just going to continue what I'm doing as I know I'm doing the right things.
Yay! The clinic just called. Casino is out of surgery and is already back on his feet in the recovery room. They removed 2 large chips and only found minimal damage to the cartilage in one ankle. They will call us around 9 tomorrow morning to let us know if we can pick him up tomorrow or if they want to wait a day.
Love the pics of your babies. Always good to see pics of them.
