I don't know... what do you think?

vp, I actually buy organic fish taco seasoning from the farmer's market and follow the directions. Sorry, nothing brilliant over here! (You would know that if you saw my man and cheese comment on yesterday's thread.)
I saw it. I saw it. I was salivating!

One of my girlfriends is a Ph.D. in Nutrition. She's a UF professor and does a lot of "consulting" also. She just finished writing a book that compares a bunch of different diets and it's either already out or will be out shortly in 3 languages at first. I forgot which one she told me is actually the best one so I'll contact her for the info again (and hope that she's in town).

OK ... post update.
The book isn't out yet. It will be on Amazon and Borders. Compares South Beach Diet, Fiber, Slim Fast, a whole bunch of them and gives "the skinny" on what's what and what has proven most efficient/reliable. It is all about behavior modification! But maybe I can get more definitive scoop for us shortly.

I am not so sure it is inspiration as much as "Honey, that red meat & pepsi diet of yours is going to put you in your grave" that I hear CONSTANTLY. While I do not exactly eat healthy, I am eating healthier (for me, anyway).

Today's consumables:

2 large cups of hot tea
2 vanilla frosted chocolate pop tarts
1 cheese steak hold the peppers/mushrooms/onions
1 small cole slaw
1 medium pepsi
5 16.9 ounce bottle of water

Dinner is in the oven. Baked chicken and baked potatoes. I am sure someone will put something green & nasty on my plate, but I probably won't eat it.

Boy! I cannot begin to tell you guys how STUFFED I am right now.

Just had dinner but before dinner I had a yogurt with a handful of fruit and nut granola.

OK dinner - I took out my crockpot this morning and put some stew beef, carrots, onion soup mix and cut up sweet potatoes. Got home and made white rice (I'm cuban and we eat a lot of white rice) in the rice cooker.

I just ate a plateful and on top of that, a piece of chocolate cheesecake!

I am going to burst at the seams :-)))

Inspiration? First it was President Richard Nixon then that did not work out.
Then Michael Jackson but that did not work out.
Then Brittany Spears but that did not work out.
Then it was Paris Hilton but that did not work out.
Lately it was Quaterback Vick but that isn't working out.

I guess I'll be my own inspiration.

1li of water
two granola bars
three french he... oops sorry wrong thread. Great! Now I got that song stuck in my head.
14oz glass of milk
24oz of coffee
a fancy chicken salad sandwhich
a bowl of veggie soup made by a gourmet vegan
a pint of apple juice
12oz of water
12oz of water
a bananna
maybe a half a can of Dr. Pepper.
12oz water
a handful of pretzels
a bowl of Bush's original Baked Beans
two jumbo Kosher beef frankfurters
14oz glass of milk
I'll have a few strawberries and another liter of water before I go to bed.

Something has me very, very puzzled.

How do you all drink sooooooooooo much liquid???????????? I can't even do 8 oz of water, or soda, or any other liquid past my 2 cups of coffee in the morning (8 oz each).

You're going to hate me for telling you this, but coffee dehydrates you. If you drink six oz. of coffee, you're supposed to drink 12 oz. to rehydrate and then your required water intake. BTW - required water intake is supposed to be 1/2 of your body weight in oz. Now, this was told to me by a nutritionist in AZ, so it could be higher for us since it's hotter here. Too little water can lead to all kinds of fun side effects like dizziness, nausea, headaches, and fatigue. Basically, I drink about half the water I'm supposed to, but I assume that we get more water than we think from foods (I hope).
