Ugh... been a long weekend. Good with the football, but my son's late night work hours are killing me. Even though he can drive himself now, I find I still stay awake in the room, waiting to hear him get home okay. I'm on autopilot this morning.
Breakfast was blueberry poptarts... no Coke... not feeling well enough this morning for it.
Good morning Steve and all-hope you feel better. Oh I remember those days and so glad they're gone-now I get to worry about my grandkids!
Blizzard conditions here and the barometric pressure is killing my knees. Lots of Tylenol today!
Normal yog/fruit, coffee.
Dinner-very lean roast cooked low and slow with parsnips, carrots, mushrooms, Lipton onion soup and cream of onion soup, noodles for Mr. L, salad for me.
Rath - no coke for breakfast? Then you really aren't well. I hope you feel better over the day. You'll get used to the kids being up and about on their own. I hope my time of wondering if DS gets home alright doesn't come sometime soon!
Ouch Judi, sending good vibes to push the barometric pressure away!
Yesterday's dinner was stuff I found in the fridge thrown together. It was rather easy "cooking" but it was pretty good.
I had 4 chicken nuggets, 1 sausage and 1 white wheat bun.
Snack: 1 piece of dark chocolate.
Today we wanted to go swimming with DS but the aquatic center only has its opening hours from 7-9 a.m. for the early birds and that was too early for us. Instead we just went out sledging with him again and had a stop at my grandma's afterwards.
Breakfast: half of a white wheat bun with cream cheese
Lunch: salmon in a bread crumb crust on top of potatoes/cabbage with dill sauce
Judi- Oh I am so sorry about your knees. I hope the tylenol helps.
Diana- Good morning or is it evening?
Hey all it's been 9 days since I started eating healthy. At least no junk. I did my weigh in this morning and I lost 5.8 pounds. I know it's mostly water weight at first but I don't care. I'm taking all I can get.
This morning I had a slice of ham wrapped with 1/2 slice of light swiss and an orange with my coffee.

Younglisa... that's great!!! I'm living vicariously through you now, since I'm at that plateau! hehe. Sounds like you're doing all the right things, no reason you shouldn't hit and stay at your target goal once you get there! Way to go!

Rath, when we visited my son the time before this it was a trying day for the parents. Lots of crying, making sure the then 2 year old did not hurt the baby, without intending to hurt her of course. My son asked me when it ever got easier. I told him he was in it for the long haul and sleep was a thing of the past. You never stop losing sleep over your children. I think it is easier when you has a say in what they do.
That's the way we parents do it, "One step in front of the other." That is as long as you can still step. My legs are wearing out. You saw where Lisa lives. I grew up a county or two to the East of her. That means one leg grew shorter than the other. LOL I think I lived on between 4 and 6 hours sleep a day between 1978 and 1989. After that it was days of much sleep and days of little sleep.
Good morning Rath, Jeannie, MM, Judi, Izzy, Lisa and anyone happening by.
Lisa it is good you are getting your iodine from the shrimp. Wilkes County had no iodine in its soil and I doubt your area does either. Too little iodine can lead to thyroid problems and weight gain. Or that is what our science teacher taught us. Mom and Dad made sure our salt always had iodine. Seafood is not one of my favorites.
meatballs and cole slaw and coffee and milk and croisants.
lunch was a sugary pepsi. Went to get our car serviced and they found other things to do to it.
