1. Are there any construction closing we should know about before we come down there? We have a gps system but it doesnt seem to pick up on construction closings.

2. Is there a way that our hotel room can get us tickets to six flags? BOTH PARKS for a discount? I think my hotel gives a shuttle to the parks but im not sure how i can buy the tickets and hotel all together.

What isn't under construction is a better question! Major construction zone is on highways 114 & 121 going all around the DFW airport and through Las Colinas/ Irving. Also Woodwall Rogers is completely torn up and it connects 75 & 35 on the north side of downtown.

No clue. Call your hotel and ask.

Right now, if you buy 6 Flags tix online, you pay kid price - $36/person....still that really adds up if you are on a budget and trying to save money. 6 Flags isn't that great (you are from Michigan!..you know Cedar Point is a million times better!!) and it's unbearably hot right now.

Depends on the age of your kids. How old are they?

Agree.
my opinion is...
Older kids (10+) Hurricane Harbor. Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Arlington
Younger (6-12) Hawaiian Falls Hawaiian Falls Waterpark!
very young(7 and under) NRH2O NRH2O Family Water Park

oh! Just adults?
Skip all of the above and stay at the Gaylord! They have a new pool area with lazy river etc...so much more relaxing than being at a packed amusment park!

Maybe it's just me, but no way would I want to go to any amusement park etc.. unless I had my kids. Not to ruffle any feathers...but I also don't understand those who go to Disney parks as a couple, for honeymoon etc... I am around kids ALL the time, when I don't have mine with me I like to go places that kids are scarce!
