I am not surprised in the least after all I have read about them..Next time I see one of their models I may stop in and take a random dump on one of the bedroom floors and leave.

2010 - Builder 100 - Builder Magazine"

I don't have a dog in the fight, but the Builder 100 is simply a list of the largest builders in America by number of closings. Professional Builder magazine has a similar list, except they rank builders by total sales revenue. Thus, your "quick search" was much too quick.

The America's Best Builder award is given to honor a building company that demonstrates to a panel of peer judges that its employee service reviews, business management practices and other key criteria are exceptional. It has nothing to do with volume of business and, in fact, segregates builders based upon volume.

Thus, Grand was deemed to be the best builder in its volume-range that year. It is one of the three prestigious awards that comprise the "Triple Crown" in the home building profession. You can confirm their award by simply reading about past winners on the magazine's site.

They must work for Grand Homes.

Personally, I would never buy one or recommend them to a client. But that's just me.
