You'd have to run the numbers, depends on the number of parcels of residential plots.

These stats are correct according to realtor.com's current listings so this seems like a good indicator of wealthy neighborhoods in DFW.

Wow! DFW is loaded. I bet most of the 800,000 homes are below million just because of the bad market. Correct me if I'm wrong, 1. Highland Park 2. Plano 3. Southlake.

You may have missed a city, with a University and a few Parks...

Only a fool would pay 24 mil for Troy's house, I think it's worth about half that. He's just trying to cash in on having a "famous" listing, but he can't pull movie star premiums. That being said, those are just what is currently listed, as far as the metroplex goes, the most "expensive" house is actually in Denton, the "Champ d'Or." It was once listed for 45 million. Tom Hicks' house has been perennially ranked 2nd, with Muse and Crow fighting for 3rd.

A "better economy" is irrelevant. Your home's value fluctuates as the economy and local market fluctuates. What the home was worth a year ago or 50 years ago plays no factor in current and future value.

University Park search brings Highland Park homes as well so guess they go as Park Cities and top the list, Plano second and Southlake third. Turtlecreek is right about economy factor. This list is still valid because it tells us which city holds highest number of Million Dollar Babies.

What is up with all the 1st post trolls on this thread?!

The fact that Allen has 2 - yes, a whopping 2- million dollar listings does not make it the 7th wealthiest suburb/neighborhood in DFW. OP conveniently forgot Flower Mound, Colleyville, Westlake, Preston Hollow, & Strait Lane, which ALL have more expensive listings than Plano in his/her quest to promote Plano as #1, I mean #2....no, #6, crap how are we measuring this again? I like Plano, and therefore I choose to list it first??!

Having an expensive listing or two does not mean that's market value or that the overall real estate market there is wealthy. Case in point: Allen. And Plano outside a very small neighborhood in West Plano.

Again, you're completely leaving out a giant swath of North Dallas. Between 635 and Northwest Highway, Midway & Hillcrest, falls the 2nd highest median value real estate (behind the Park Cities) in DFW. More million dollar homes in those three zip codes (20,29,30) than in all of Collin County combined.
