Just a FYI for anyone using DART Parker Rd station parking since I haven't heard about it in the new. You will need to get a permit parking sticker to park for free if you're a resident of a DART member city. You need to show proof of residency and automobile ownership to get sticker. Non-residents (ie Allen) will have to pay $2 to park at Parker Rd Station. My H uses DART for work and just found out he needs a sticker. Program starts April 1. There are DART people at the station who will issue you a sticker after you fill out an application.

This is only fair as DART is running in the red and needs to be subsidized by member cities. I've lived in Allen, Anna, and now Sherman and I don't have a problem with us helping pay for the convenience of DART beyond the ticket price which doesn't cover their costs. Although we DO help a bit by shopping in "DART cities" where we pay something like 25 basis points additional sales tax for DART.
