I am new to the Dallas area. We moved to North Dallas, Preston and Royal, and I am looking into Tennis clubs to join. So far I see T bar M Racquet Club, Brookhaven, Northwood and Fair Oaks, all relatively close by. Brookhaven is the farthest, but it looks like it has the most courts. I haven't called or checked any out yet, but was wondering if anyone could point me towards one over the other in regards of a great tennis program. I am looking for a place where I can join a team and take some clinics. I have also found in the other cities that I have lived in this was where I made most of my friends, so I am hoping that will happen here as well. My husband doesn't play, but I love the game. We also have an infant daughter, so a kid friendly place will probably be a good idea.

Thanks for your thoughts!!

Brookhaven has one of the best reputation , this is where you will find tennis players from all levels . They have also many classes and clinics. Their adult league seems to be also well organized. I have friends playing there for years that have been very happy .

I'm a member at a different club but played at several area clubs with USTA leagues. Fair Oaks is a city run facility and not really in the same league as the other clubs you've mentioned. Brookhaven has a ton of courts (I think about 40) including covered and indoor. They also seem to have the largest tennis community of the local clubs and nice pro shop/clubhouse. Another thought might be JCC since it would be close to your house. They have tennis, fitness and kids activities. I think it's on northhaven between Hilcrest and Central Expressway.
