Hello,

My family and I are moving to Keller, TX in July and I am trying to gather some information regarding utility companies. We are currently living in Missouri, and we only have one electricity company... However, when I searched for the DFW area, and a gazillion comes back. Who do you use for your utilities and how do you know who is best? I really need some help with this as I never had to do any type of research on utility companies....

Thanks a bunch

Oh, obviously I am looking for electric, gas, water, sewer, etc... I hope that not all companies are as tricky as the electric companies :-s

There was a previous posting which stated how to rate the electric companies and how much they charge per KWH.
You may need to peruse or use the advanced search on this forum if you do not find the information
under a regular google search.
TXU energy is the main electric provider in Texas.

You have the choice to choose a provider which uses green energy or any other type of energy developing equipment.

The City of Keller handles the Water/Sewer/Etc., their offices are within the City building on Bear Creek. They also should be able to tell you which companies provide gas in the area.
Not all houses have gas lines to them.

You may want to check the city for their website, I know each city around here has its personal website.
Kellers is: www.cityofkeller.com they have a page that attempts to answer all of your questions.

I thought this forum also had a quick info for people relocating to the metroplex on the main page. It may be a helpful listing
if it is still available.

*Note: Check the sticky forum on the top of the forum page that has the following information
( Official DALLAS Metro -< Relocation Information Index >- with PHOTOS! )
check under: electric towards the bottom of the page, I believe this is what you are looking for.

Good Luck
