Hey everyone, I'm new here and have a job opp. really close to Coppell and am in my mid 20's right now so I still like to party. I am also a car guy which means I need a house with a garage so I have a spot to work on vehicles and keep all my stuff. I was thinking about Las Colinas because it is right in the middle of Dallas and where I may be working. I'm looking to spend around 1100 MAX including utilities. Can anyone help me find a place where I won't get robbed?

Forget Coppell. Irving or Lewisville will be your best bet but hard to come by.

There are apartments (St Marion) in Coppell where you can get a garage.

There are some apts in Valley ranch zip 75063 that have garages. In Las Colinas you may find an apt with shared parking garage, but unlikely a single garage. In Irving, there's a townhouse community that sometimes has places for rent with attached 2-car garages. All are either on Wilshire Dr. Or Brentwood Dr.

Is 1100 max with utilities even doable now? For units with garages, I think you may be hard pressed to find one in your price range.

First off if you are in your 20's and like to party Las Colinas in definitely not "in the middle of Dallas"

As far as apartments with garages your going to have a hard time finding one for $1100. Most Apartments with garages are higher end and the garages are usually small. You might have better luck looking for a small house with a garage. Try M Streets, East Dallas, or Lake Highlands.

apartments with garages often exclude any car tinkering so a residence may be your best bet

You're in your mid 20s, you don't want to be in Irving. You want to be in Uptown or the Village.

Thank you for posting this! My thoughts exactly. Coppell/ Irving may be the geographic "center" of the metroplex but they are about a 20 minute, $30 can ride from where all the fun young professionals live. I'd try to find a duplex in 75206 (M Streets/ Lower Greenville) or 75208 (North Oak Cliff) with a garage. I get that you probably don't have any apartment lifestyle orthe budget for an individual garage in Uptown, but good gosh don't setence yourself to a boring neighborhood in the suburbs and a $500/mo taxi / Ãœber bill to go "into town" for fun!!
