Something is killing my big beautiful bald cypress. We have two planted about 15-20 feet apart and one is green and healthy and the other is turning brown and dropping leaves (over 3/4 of the tree looks dead) and the branches are all dried out. They both get the same amount of water and we are wondering if something is killing it. Anyone heard of problems with these trees in the Dallas area? Anyone know of a good arborist who could diagnose what might be wrong with it. We don't want to remove it if at all possible because it is over two stories tall and provides good shade for a portion of our house but also don't want to jeopardize the other tree. Any ideas?
