That's all.
Werent you the one who said it was b/c many Texans are frugal? Frugal implies that they have the money and just aren't willing to spend it.
You also said if it's not broke, why fix it?
Also someone made the comment that tastes didn't change in a long time period. That also doesn't suggest not having the money.

3 reasons that really have nothing to do with not having the money. I'm sure being broke is a reason for many of the 60's, 70's and 80's styled homes I see here. I guess I'm to assume people have the money in Nola, Nashville, Atlanta for updating their homes?

And again, I'm not talking $100k renovations that cause you to have no retirement and can't send your kids to college. That's just plain stupidity. I'm talking some paint on the paneling, buy an updated fixture or two from Home Depot. Remove the wallpaper. Some kind of effort that doesn't involve a 2nd mortgage or going into debt. I don't think that's unreasonable.
Just wondering why it seems unreasonable by many responses on here and I guess that's my answer

I don't see why you're arguing with me about why other people don't update houses that neither of us live in.

Why do you care?

Could it be because you make everything personal on this forum? Your job, your house, your vehicle, your neighborhood, your town and the list goes on and on and on....
