I would like to know if the schools are similar in Lawler Park and Craig Ranch, especially middle schools and high schools. Does one area have better schools? Thank you in advance.

don't know about craig ranch's middle school but Vandeventer school for Lawler park, richwoods and hunter creek is really good although it is newer (~ 3-4 years old i think).
Lawler Park and craig ranch (for the most part) will have the same high school - Independence High I believe (opened this year).

Lawler middle school will also be opening up in 2016 at the intersection of coit/county road 68. And a new elementary will be opening up south of independence high school (I think across the street somewhere at stonelake estates).

Frisco ISD Plans New Elementary for 2015, Names New Schools

Love vandeventer, love liberty/independence..and lawler middle and the new elementary will have the "same crowd"..so really its all going to be positive.

Thank you all for your replying. Looks like Lawler park schools are good. Anyone one know about Craig Ranch middle schools (scoggins)?

Scoggins is good as well, until this year , it was feeding to Liberty. It goes now to Independance. The entire area has pretty much the same type of population. I know that few reports have been out from Vandeventer , but so far I have been extremely happy.

Here are the latest FISD 2014 campus accountability ratings:
http://www.friscoisd.org/docs/defaul...y.pdf?sfvrsn=2

Vandeventer MS had five distinction recognitions while Scoggins had zero.
Liberty HS has five star distinction recognitions as well.
First year of Independence HS so no data for how this school will perform.

Good luck!

Hello mon2gurls,

Looks like Lawler neighborhood will not feed Lawler middle, just the name

This is unknown as of yet. Attendance zones will be decided upon this fall by the board. Proposed zones will be released in October, community input invited in November, and final vote in December.
