We are looking to move back to Texas from Rancho Cucamonga, Ca and would like the same environment or close to it if possible. As a native Texan originally from the Lake Conroe area and moving to California. We grew to like it here....almost. It does have great shopping restaurants and local activities but...........The schools and the environment are awful. The people are generally okay but, I have missed Texas and the hospitality that I grew up with.

So, now I have basically told my husband were moving back.

I am however not that familiar with the Dallas area.

So we are going to move to the Dallas area and start anew. Does anyone have any suggestions on a good city to live? We have a 5 year old little boy so schools are important. We would like a house around $200,000-$300,000 because we could have a free and clear house. A low tax base would also be good. So, that would be awesome. Any helpful suggestions would be gratefully accepted.

I relocated to the Dallas area from Valencia California and I have a cousin who lives in Rancho Cucamonga. I would say Frisco would be comparable. Frisco has good schools, shopping, restaurants, sports venues (double A baseball, hockey, arena football and professional soccer) and in a good location. Check out the city website if you're interested = Welcome to the City of Frisco
