UNT-Dallas law school gets second look for seal of approval | Education | Dallas News

I agree with the guy from the comment section, its infuriating that they invested $100 million of taxpayer money into a school that Texas doesn't need, employers can't support and qualified students don't want to attend even if they can get admission and scholarships. Why not invest this money into educating and training those people for fields which they can qualify for and which can employ them.

UNT Dallas Law School Gets Second Chance To Earn Accreditation | KERA News

If students are attending the program, then they do care about it though any student who willingly signs up for a non-accredited program should know what that means and not have to rely upon getting special treatment from the supreme court to sit for an exam only available for those who attend an accredited program. The supreme court has to protect their own so I don't see this exception application being granted but stranger things have happened.

Why is it that you never hear anybody say "We have too many doctors?!" This was definitely a waste of tax payer money and UNT probably thought they could turn this into a cash-cow program.

Students who are attending are ones who weren't qualified to get into acrediated schools due to low LSATs and low GPAs. Its not like they picked it over better programs.

When colleges find the money for new schools not accredited and student step up and pay good money to enroll, I have no symphony for student or entity debt. Their must be a fortunate available to fund this border line activity on both sides for this to go on. Who is funding the student loans for this unaccredited entity?

In some ways you are right, it's not like they are naive 17 year old high schoolers, these are 25 year and older people with undergrad degrees and years in work/business, just like gullible folks who were scammed by Trump University, they have poor judgement to enroll into a non acrediated program just because it would accept them. Still, I feel pity for poor sods.
