Same old, same old. A few selective enrollment magnet/charter schools and top open enrollment public schools leading the way. I just don't get how Plano East manages to consistently outperform schools where there is more money, less diversity and district supported prep. That school is so underrated, only because other two Plano schools outshine it.

More than a slogan, it is action.
MurphyPl1 is correct. East Side's success is a priority for many of us. I grew up on the East Side. I chose to live on the East Side as an adult with a family. If all East Side elementary schools succeed, then the middle schools have a better chance of succeeding, and the high schools as well. My kids were/are East Side students and that can only be a good thing for them. Whenever I hear of a need in any of the East Side schools, I try to help. Coat drives. School supply drives. Volunteering in schools that my children don't attend. Supporting teachers and programs of schools that my children don't attend. Supporting Bond Proposals.

As always this thread is quickly becoming "Praise to Plano" as Plano is the best. Let me predict, Frisco bashing is next and people who chose to live there are horrible parents.

Actually, I was going to comment that Frisco is finally moving up into "Usual Suspects" range. Liberty is now top 10 among open enrollment publics, and Centennial is 10th (I consider Westlake's charter as effectively an "open enrollment public" as it Westlake's own school which would push Centennial to 11th, but whatever).
Also, the gap between Plano West (#2 this year among open enrollments, trailing only HP) and Plano Senior continues to widen, the result of their change in feeder patterns a few years ago. Used to be Senior and West were almost the same, but now Senior is very close to East and almost 100 points behind West. Not that Senior is BAD, mind you, it's still just ahead of Centennial (and East is just behind Centennial), so it's a top tier school, just that it's different from a few years ago.
Not much else comes to mind at first glance. Flower Mound has now definitively moved up to the ranks of the very top schools. Hebron appears to be on the fringe of the "very very good" schools, in the top 20.
I'm sure many people will have other observations.

True, but since Grapevine is mostly in Tarrant County, and Colleyville is in Tarrant County, I didn't include them. Few Tarrant County cities/schools get mentioned on this forum overall.
