I was reading somewhere about Princeton’s president pitching New Jersey for Amazon’s HQ2. Since Bezo and his wife love their prestigious alma mater, NJ folks are hoping it may add some weight to NJ’s case.

Amazon says they want a business friendly environment. NJ near the bottom in that department.

Moderator Note: I'm temporarily locking this thread for now. Several posts have been reported and the thread requires a thorough review and cleanup. Once that is done, I will reopen the discussion later today. Thanks.

No one, but NO ONE, is "jealous" of Plano/Frisco. Anyone who thinks it's wonderful can simply move there. The people who don't live there are annoyed by, not envious of, people like you.

Agreed. The only true suburb in Texas that is truely a corporate Mecca is Las Colinas Irving. Plano and Frisco don’t even compare to Las Colinas and I highly doubt they will ever reach the level and status of Las Colinas.

Don't get me wrong -- I don't want to demean Frisco or insult its residents. At the tail end of this Thanksgiving day, I'm reminded that there was a period from about 1994 to 2002 in which I had Thanksgiving dinner at three different homes in Frisco. These were people I liked, obviously. And if Frisco suits their needs, I'm happy for them. But it's ridiculous to suggest that people in Dallas are envious of something they could have if they wanted it.

Agreed, I said a similar thing in an earlier post and got ridiculed by one specific poster. I don't have anything specifically against Plano/Frisco, other then it has been so overplayed at this point. It isn't the only place that has business interest in the Dallas area. I also stated at this point that entire 121/Tollway area is so over saturated that it is a complete nightmare being anywhere near there during rush hour.
