Considered by whom? By biased eyes of western men? To be fair(no pun intended), if Hollywood starts casting Asiam men in better roles and promote them as sex symbols, Western world’s perception would change. Heck, Hallmark channel can do wonders if they start casting Asian hunks in romantic roles.

Heck naw. That doesn't make any sense. By the eyes of WOMEN, obviously. And not just Western ones. There have been Asian men cast throughout Hollywood for years. As a heterosexual man, I don't judge their looks or check to see if any of them are "hunks," but you just never hear any women talking about them or swooning over them. Hell, even in real life, when it comes to Asians and interracial dating, outside of first generation Asians, you see Asian females dating outside their race ALL the time (at least when it comes to East Asian women), but you RARELY see Asian males with non Asian women. Again, just sayin'...

I mean, Asian men seem pretty attractive to non Western women, not to say they are or not by Western women. I mean, how many non-Western Asian women do you see seooning over White men? Based on my time in Japan and Korea, both the men and women are much more interested in Asian celebrities, even non-Japanese and non-Korean, respectively (and both groups generally like Europeans more than they like each other or other Asians), then any Western celebrities. And that is with much higher exposer in Japan and Korea to Western media than the US to Japanese and Korean media, especially excluding anime which doesn't feature actual people. The American women I have met who have seen Korean male celebrities seem to think highly of them.

With globalization, interracial marriages are on the rise and human standards of beauty are getting transformed. With scientists tinkering with genetic material, we are entering an enchanted territory. Beauty is not going to stay skin deep, it would go deeper to DNA. I hope gender equality can help all those insecure women who keep getting Botox and silicon injected into their bodies trying to meet shallow standards of beauty, sex appeal and youth.
