What would be good places to raise a family near Dallas?

Looking for a large lot greater than 2 acres within a gated community within a safe, secure and family oriented community close to amenities and within a very good public school district.

thanks

What’s your budget?
Where will you be commuting to for work?

2 acre lots here will likely mean living in a county other than Dallas, Collin or Tarrant.

Unless you have a couple million and would send the kids to private schools, that doesn't exist anywhere in or near Dallas.

I would think places like Lucas, Parker and Fairview have minimum acre lots and Lovejoy is considered to be a good school district. All relatively close to shopping and things to do in Plano and Allen (but not city of Dallas or the airports). Now an acre would go for at least half a million I’m guessing so it’s going to depend on budget and commute

Highland Park but multi-millions
Heath but not gated

I'd say Southlake if you're willing to drop 5 mil.

What you're looking for (depending on your definition of "close to amenities") is going to cost anywhere from $700k up to $15 Million. Some outer suburbs where you can find a few listings (depending on your budget) are Lucas, Fairview, Prosper, Celina (does not qualify as "close" to me but YMMV), Flower Mound, and Argyle (another YMMV).

Or if you have $5-15 Million, you can live in the heart of Dallas amongst the legit Forbes 400 and local resident billionaires and send your kids to some of the top college prep privates in the country....at $25-30k per year per kid.

Seriously....did you not even do a quick real estate search before asking this question??

There are two listings that meet the criteria. Both in Plano. 3.75 and 6 mil.

Neither of those fit the criteria. You need to figure out what a gated community is. A gated estate does not equal a gated community

I’ll say it once again. He is looking for a unicorn
