Eh, for the good looking that is true. I'm pretty average looking, so it can be a bit of a grind, but thats to be expected anywhere. Between the different Apps I could have a new date every weekend if I wanted to though, so it isn't that hard.

I work in technology and I'm very grateful for where my career is at (knock on wood) and this opportunity I'm taking is a relocation from my company that's in San Antonio. Thank you all for your insight.

Should y'all have any more comments and/or advice please feel free to post!
You'll be fine in Addison. I know one of my kids played sand volleyball there. Just south was a meet up place for cycling too. Good luck.

is it really that hard to meet women here? It seems everywhere I turn I see single professional women, yet it would seem they all vanish when you guys come around?
Dallas is a rather uninspiring place to be a single and unattached male, if you are a transplant attempting to put things together from scratch. It is better than the small towns of less than 100,000 or the midsized metros of 100-700,000. However, if you are entrenched in the social fabric of a midsized metro and you're comparing a dating experience being entrenched in that scene vs. being in Dallas and having to rely upon cold approaching or app use, you're better off in the midsized metro where you are already well connected.

It's a more difficult and less satisfying experience to form and maintain relationships from scratch rather than getting them through your existing social network.

As for your claim of single and professional women, it is likely that you're letting your own biases overstate reality. Single, professional women do not necessarily embrace their femininity. I find this less attractive, as do many other men, which is why these single and professional women are single and unattached.

You don’t have to assume that. In fact, with those numbers, why would any guy do it? Let others fight it out.

Of course, not using apps means pounding the pavement hard. Both app use and cold approaching have pretty big downsides.

This is exact opposite of my experience, but I am attracted to a confident, professional, woman that isn't looking to be someone's milquetoast. Thankfully, there's a bunch of brohams like you around - just clears the pool.

As for your "more satisfying" - that's just plain silly. How did you form that social network to begin with?

LMAO - it's no wonder that one of my easiest cold opens is mocking the mentality of the bitter d-bags out there.
