Does anyone live in University Park in Las Colinas that could comment on this particular neighborhood? Should I be concerned about train noise? Thanks.

No problem with train noise there. I moved from the area in 2015, at that time there were several property crimes/burglaries. Don’t know if that’s improved. Check the crime stats.

Thanks! The specific property we are looking at is located on the side of the neighborhood that is closest to the tracks (across from the pool area), hence my concern.

Pretty cheesy, in my opinion, to steal the name of one of the most prestigious and expensive towns in the metro area for your subdivision ten miles away.

I know what you mean, but just remember that the neighborhood across from this subdivision is University Hills and it’s right next to the University of Dallas. I used to live there and don’t recall hearing the trains, but I was on University Park Lane.

Well, they could have named it "Oil Storage Tank Park" or "Fork Truck Repair Heights" or "Warehouse Villas" if the name were to have something to do with what's nearby, but instead they just accidentally happened to pick the EXACT SAME name as one of the most expensive towns in the USA?

It’s not like “university park” is going to be in their mailing address lol.. It’s just the name of a subdivision which no one cares about...

I lived there for ~10 years on both Ricci Lane and University Park Lane and never even took note of the train noise. If it was an issue, I would have certainly moved away instead of doubling down and buying another house only two blocks from my first one. I left in 2014-2015 before it became a gated subdivision.
