my husband is getting a job working for bell helicopter in grand pairie tx. we would like to know where the closest city with public transportation is because i am disabed and can't drive. any help would be appreciated.

You would be better to post this on the Ft Worth site. Bell is in Hurst which is next to FTW. I believe the public transportation the is fair at best.

YOu might be able to do Irving which is on the Dallas side and serviced by DART.

Closest to Grand Prairie with public transit is Fort Worth to the west. Ride the T!

Irving to the north and Dallas to the east. Dallas and Irving are both part of the DART system.

Actually, the Bell plant has a commuter rail station nearby. There are trains each day to the Dallas and Fort Worth downtowns. Technically, the plant is within Fort Worth's jurisdiction, since they annexed a thin sliver of land out to the Bell plant.

One of the closest municipalities with full transit, including buses and paratransit, would be Irving, which also has a couple of commuter rail stations. The nice thing about it is that your husband would be able to commute to Bell on the train from Irving. Richland Hills also has a TRE station, but has no real bus service to take you around.
