Lbj or 635 (Houston: transplants, rain, drivers)

I use LBJ.

Depends on the stretch of road. 20 to Skillman is 635. After that LBJ until 35. Back to 635.

I say both, and am a native. I am curious as to what the transplants call it. I would assum they are less likely to call it LBJ, and less likely to say Central for US 75.

I call it 635 which I always avoided as much as possible due to congestion, bad drivers and road rage.

Oh for sure. The number of neighbors I have that say they took “the 75 to the 635 to the Toll Road” to get to the airport…

Like, which toll? 121,183,PGBT,DNT, 635 Express?

When I first learned to drive I was confused because I didn't realize LBJ and 635 were (partially) the same freeway. These days, I use LBJ, although I know what someone means when they say 635. I also say Central instead of 75.

I usually say LBJ. When I mean to say 635, it usually comes out 610 because I'm a Houston native and then I get a lot of confused looks. LBJ is easier on my brain.
