Very few people even know who Stemmons was or the use of the name.

I call the stretch along North Dallas "LBJ" and the parts through Las Colinas and over toward Mesquite "635."

I use both but probably say LBJ more often. I recently had my car break down while driving on it and it was scary.

You want to get from LA to Ontario? Take the 210 to the 10.

San Diego to OC? You’re taking the 5 straight up or the 163 to the 805 to the 5, possibly the 133 or the 405.

This isn't quite true -- I-5 is the San Diego Freeway, you also have the Ventura Freeway the Harbor Freeway etc. etc. Do people use those names often ? I don't know. I do wonder how the Californian "The <fill in number>" nomenclature got started.
