Unlimited funds, where would you pick and why?

Jobs are from home and kids homeschooled.

What is your pick?

Everywhere. Hit the road, jet all over the place, see the planet.

I personally like having a home base. I like having friends I see regularly and spending time in a place I know. I also wouldn't want to live in a place that is primarily a tourist area or a small uber-expensive area that is completely detached from reality. So places like Aspen and Malibu would be out for me.

We chose Colorado Springs six years ago when we had the opportunity to move to almost anywhere. I'm not sure I'd leave for a quality of life reason. A lot of other Coloradans would say that's crazy, but different strokes.

Other places that would be on my list:
  • Salida, CO
  • Burlington, VT
  • Knoxville, TN
  • San Diego, CA
  • Bainbridge Island, WA

I prefer small or mid-sized places, and I'd spend a good 6-8 weeks traveling each year. Ask me again when the kids are gone and I might give a different answer.

If we are talking just in Dallas…

Either Highland Park or Preston Hollow.

Hard to say... we really like living in Prosper. About the only thing I think we would like that we don't currently have would be to live in a gated community, and there's several options for that throughout the metroplex.

Anywhere in the US? Manhattan - but the specific neighborhood would change depending on when you ask me.

Limited to Dallas? Likely the M Streets. We love our house and really enjoy living at white rock, but we do miss being able to simply walk and bike to so much. So maybe just shift our current house a few miles West.

What could be better than Beekman Place?

Unlimited cash?

Probably a few thousand acres out west, mountain backdrop, rivers, a small settlement for select maintenance personnel.

Lots of outdoor activities available, horses, sports fields. State of the art off grid system. A small runway and helicopter pad for regular provisions and travel.

Indoor pool, cinema, game room.

Security patrols.

Just a little place to call home to return to while I explore the world.

A 20 car garage stabled with 4x4s, ATVs, classic cars, motorcycles.
