Read this article. We've always joked about DFW stretching to Oklahoma, I guess we are taking more steps in that direction.

I remember reading about Grayson County TX/Bryan County OK getting ready to take off with growth and are both now part of DFW's CSA. Will be interesting to see how much both of those counties will develop in the future.

Isn't it the Sherman-Denison metro area and no longer DFW at that point?

Not surprising at all! All those folks can use the 3rd airport they’ll build in McKinney. Too many people in this area now!

The airport has been there for decades. The expansion was just rejected by voters in the election.

Technically you’re right, but somehow I don’t think all those builders are using proximity to Denison or Sherman as selling points. For all intents and purposes it’s going to be access to the metroplex that the builders are banking on so it might as well be part of dfw.

It'll be interesting to see how that area transitions in the coming years.

From what I understand Sherman/Denison is still it's own metro but also included in the DFW CSA.

Partially true. But there is significant investment, specifically in Semiconductor, going into Sherman that will bring a significant number of high paying jobs local to that area.

They should put the 3rd airport in Sherman instead of McKinney.
