Which do you think is superior and why? There are some amazing homes in both locations but we can't decide which is better.

We don't work. And we don't have children. But we love to party and would like to be in an area that's not all white.

Superior - Interesting choice of words. Superior in what respect? Westlake is a bit secluded I think as the bubble of Denton county. It's a place to live in. You have to go to Southlake or Keller for all your shopping, dining. Homes are high priced yes but with that, you get a lot of elbow room between you and your neighbor with that comes privacy if that's what you're after.

West Plano is larger than the entire Westlake, so you will have very few neighborhoods that compare to Westlake such as Willow Bend country, Gleneagles. Shoal Creek has some homes with breathtaking architecture too.

And since you like to party a lot, may be WP is more convenient if you have to drive to Dallas for shows or sporting events or anything else for that matter.

I think West Plano would be your best bet. You will be in a pretty diverse surrounding community and Dallas is a short drive down 75 or the Tollway, so that will be good if you want to go to Deep Ellum or the West End or Greenville on weekends. Not to mention, there are a few really good bars/restaurants in Plano as well.

I think you would like west plano better- westlake is a bit removed. the shops at legacy and the tollway/121 intersection have some new bars/restaurants that are pretty popular right now. it's also a very safe and well-maintained with some amazing homes and neighborhoods. (I must also confess, I live in WP, and I love it, so I am a bit biased.)
