It's called the cost of living!! Checked home prices lately? I'm glad I got out when I did!! Sadly I think some are trying to leave a little late .....due to greed. Despite my ranting and raving ..."thank God I'm in Texas!" Wait!! Did I just say that?

Good grief, I just found this post. I have lived in a hell hole before and DFW is not one of them. Where ever you go in life, there will be rude people but in general DFW is a great place to live and people by far aren't as rude or arrogant. Try Florida if you want to find out what how hard it can be. Opps sorry if I offended anyone but we had a rough time there and we were so open to meeting people there and becoming friends. It was just all strange and not the culture I was raised in. Maybe it is just me and that I can understand a Texan and what they mean or their values. Don't let someone's shortness with their words make one think were rude. I rather have someone be straight to my face and tell me like it is than conive behind my back and be ugly. Trust me I had my fair share living away. People are people and you will have all kinds but in general as I said prior, people are pretty nice here and I appreicate the fact that my door is opened for me when I go out by strangers.

I absolutely Love the DFW area and would move back there in
a second. If you want to meet some rude people,Try the Chicago
area where the people there are so stuck on themselves and
their "wonderful" city that it sickens you.I find the people of
DFW as well as Texas to be some of the friendliest in the nation
Im really not used to smiles and "how are yous" on the street
like I got in Downtown Dallas a few years ago,Im from Chicago
where thats a rare thing so it definately impressed me about
the people in the Dallas area
