I currently live in the Phoenix area but will be looking to move to the NE part of Texas. I will be getting married next summer and my fiance has family in Broken Bow, OK wich is one of the main reasons for the move. The two areas we have been considering are Texarkana, her choice, and Sherman Tx, my choice just based off looking online. I'm mainly looking for somewhere that still has everything you can find in a large city, while she is looking for the small town feel. Any advise on these two areas or any other nearby towns would be appreciated!

You should post this question in the Texas Forum as well. I think you will get more responses there.

I'd go with Sherman, simply because you're living in a larger city right now. Texarkana is more isolated.

Sherman/Denison (all one town, really) is much closer to 'civilization'...less than an hour to Dallas, events, dining, great shopping, good medical facilities ...and jobs, if that's a consideration for you. There is a good new shopping area between Sherman and Dension and many new eateries. Texarkana has grown some recently but it is very isolated from everything but, well, Broken Bow and that sounds important to 'one of you.' Have you thought about Paris? It has a small town feel, limited shopping/eating but has the necessities some very nice housing, especially in the rural areas. There is some entertainment at the college now and then.......and it's not too awfully far from Dallas or Broken Bow either one.
