I was wondering if someone could tell me what kind of cost to expect for renters insurance for 1 BR, it's just my husband and myself.
I cannot complete a quote online since my husband doesn't have a social security number yet, so I was wondering how much a married couple would have to pay for 50K liability.

Thanks

It's not somuch the liability as it is the value of your personal posessions. Renter's insurance is CHEAP. We paid about $150 a YEAR for $50k worth of posessions.

A lot of times whoever provides your car insurance can tack on renters for a couple extra bucks a month. It's too cheap not to have.

It definately will vary...no way to say that anyone company has the cheapest..it wont be the same for two people living right next to each other. I won't do business with Allstate...just too impersonal and can't get a hold of anyone.

If you are moving into an apt. check to see if they have a contract with erenters.com
I ended up going with them as they were conveinant and less expensive than my car insurance or other companies around. No matter what group you choose, it won't be that expensive in general.
