my daughter is seriously thinking of moving into an apartment in Grapevine, and i was wondering if this would be a good decision for her...just what kind of a town is Grapevine, as far as crime goes....

We have a large group in Grapevine and almost everyone there lives in Grapevine and loves it. Due to it's proximity to so many other nice areas (i.e. Southlake, Coppell, Colleyville, etc.), I'd have to assume crime is not an issue. Very pretty area in my opinion. I love that area over there, it was just too far from my customers/work (over 30 miles) for me to realistically consider living there. It is very centrally located to other types of employment outside of semis/tech, not to mention DFW.

I have only heard great things about Grapevine from people who live there. I wouldn't hesitate to live there as a single woman.

The mall is crowded as hell, and expect long waits in the restaurants. Everyone in the area flocks to Grapevine Mills, since there is nothing like it in the area.

Hubby and I have lived in Grapevine for 4 years now, and I would not hesitate to recommend it for a single girl. We live in a very close-knit neighborhood which is very safe, and we know all of our neighbors. The community has GREAT services, like the Community Activities Center, the awesome parks, and the two annual festivals!

Honestly, if your daughter can afford to rent a house instead of an apartment, she will be a lot better off. Some of the apartments in Grapevine are not so good, especially the smaller complexes. There are a lot of affordable rental houses, especially in the Bellaire neighborhood.

okay thanks! will ask her about home rentals..but being a single girl, she would not want the yard work and outside upkeep...she is most interested in the Wildwood creek apartments...anyone have info on those?? they seemed very nice...would appreciate info on that complex and neighborhood if anyone has it..thanks!
