Hi everyone! I'm an 18 student, just getting into the "real world" by myself. I plan on relocating from Chicago within the next year, and Dallas is one of the cities I'vd narrowed down. So I was wondering what neighborhoods would be the best options for someone like myself (young, student, part-time worker, first-time apartment hunter...etc)?? *preferably where the rent is 650/month or less, if possible*

Any advice is greatly appreciated...Thanks in advance!!

There are tons of options in decent areas. Most likely, a bland area that is far from things will be cheaper. I have seen decent complexes with ads for $399 a month for one bedrooms. Not new, but kept up and safe. Many places like that in East Dallas all the way towards Mesquite. But you will find cheap prices in all areas, except for the upscale neighborhoods and suburbs.

Attached is a link to some really cool apartments near the Bishop Arts District that start around $650/month. This would put you about 2 miles SW of Downtown Dallas.
