Interesting, but why do they have the dateline "Fort Worth, Texas" at the top of the article?

I don't know, that confused me as well. Figured Lakewooder explain. It's good news for Dallas proper residents, so I thought it was good for the board.

If it's like most other nice new parks devloped in urban areas, it will give the property values in that area a boost as well.

NBC is broadcast out of Fort Worth, so it just refers to the reporter's place of origin. The park they're describing will be built over Woodall. They're going to put it over the area between Pearl and St Paul. It'll include a outdoor stage for concerts. It's going to be awesome!

Nice. The outdoor stage/theatres seem to be a common theme with alot of the new parks I see being built. I know Frisco's new Grand Park off Legacy (up to main) will have one and the Adriatica in Stonebridge is also doing an outdoor amptheatre of some sort as well. Nice to see these types of things are valued by planners.

Yep Channel 5 was always out of Fort Worth as was 11 (Icky Twerp!).

This park is going in next to the Mercantile renovation project and is across from the Statler/Hilton Grand Hotel (under contract) where Elvis stayed and also across from the old Dallas City Hall which will become UNT Law School.

The Woodall Rodgers Park will be started soon, as will another park on Main down at Griffin across from One Main Place, the Green Building and the Metropolitan high rise condos.

OMG Icky Twerp. Thanks to him I got to see the ENTIRE bubble gum cake series which morphed into the elixir of youth!

I did get the parks mixed up. Thanks, Lakewooder for expanding. I love that downtown is getting these. The master plan in the early 20th century was to place greenbelts all over Dallas (it's how we got Turtle Creek). This fits in with that idea.
