Me and my wife are from India and work in Irving, TX. We decided to buy a single family home from $150000 to $180000 dollars.
We don’t have kids, but still looking for a good schools neighborhood, which helps in the future if we want to sell the house
Also we are looking for only 10 year old house not more than that
We found some houses in the legends in the colony, TX area and also Lewisville TX
We found one of the newly built single family and townhome in south of Irving which is not that great neighborhood, but price and commute is good
Don’t know whether I should buy in McKinney or Frisco TX and drive to work. Please help me in making a decision about which neighborhood is good to buy
Please advise us

Of the areas you mention, only Lewisville will be a decent commute to Irving. The others are VERY far away, and involve driving on a toll road, which will add to the cost of the commute.

Have you tried the HEB area west of DFW airport, NE Tarrant County. There are some really fine new homes and schools in that area not far from Irving. Grapevine and Colleyville come to mind, along with Euless and Bedford.

I think you should look in Valley Ranch. It is part of Irving and has a lot of India nationals. You will have to work hard to find a house in your price range but it is possible. VR also has great schools. Zip code is 75063 just in case you want to search on any real estate websites.
