We have an employee who was diagnosed with terminal cancer about 6 months ago. The doctors have said that he may only live for another 2 months or so. To make matters even worse he and his family lost everything they own in a house fire last night. He is the father of two teenagers and they have nothing. Any suggestions on where to turn for help?

I would say start with human resources. They should be able to provide information on employee support services.

They can contact the Dallas United Way for a list of organizations that can help out. There are several organizations in the area that help out people and even the Red Cross should have been put into contact with them last night thru the fire department.

horrible............. A good friend is a fireman and he says people that have been thru a devastating house fire end up always calling things in life by "before the fire" and "after the fire".

The local Red Cross chapter can help with the house fire.
