I don't know a whole lot about Dayton and its development plans, but my buddy (gay) and I (straight) hang out at MJ's and Masque on a fairly regular basis. I didn't know the rainbow friendly establishments were coalescing into a kind of district, but that makes a kind of sense and happened in the Detroit area (where I'm from). For me - I go for the music (sorry, but generally speaking the gay friendly clubs I've gone to have the best DJ's and best dance mixes) and the generally tolerant attitudes of the other club goers. Also, because I am NOT looking to be picked up. My buddy goes - well - to be picked up, or at least see what's out there. Works well for both of us.

Anyway - I'll keep the other places in mind, and keep an eye on this district in the future. I certainly wish development of any kind well, and some that is more tolerant and diverse is always welcome in my view.
