Flamingo, I used to think about people who were worse off than I was, as if doing that would make me feel better about my life. But I much prefer the idea of focusing on 3 good things that happen each day – and saying them out loud seems to make more of a positive impression on my mind.

YAY for getting the Nestea coupon!!

Looking forward to tomorrow. One of my daughters is driving down (150 miles) to visit. We'd like to go out to eat but restaurants will probably be crowded -- and almsot all my favorite places, Mexican food, are closed on Sundays anyway. The last time she came down we went to Taco Cabana for a meal and margarita -- actually not bad food and the drinks were pretty good. We'll probably do that tomorrow too. And she's bringing one of her dogs so Lulu can have company as well.

Ketabcha, I'd also love to hear updates on Cookie. My heart just hurts for you and I'm praying that you can find solace in memories of your mom.

Mother was the oldest of 4 children and the last to pass away. She was 92.
Something that helped immensely was the fact that at the gravesite the cousins and I were telling stories about the 4 siblings that (stories and sibs) were really funny. I am the oldest of the cousins and I remember so much about all of our parents. We laughed a lot and odd is it may sound that was the perfect way to end the funeral.

The Cookie Monster is an absolute hoot. She is so entertaining and makes me laugh often. I'm so glad she is mine and I am hers.

I agree that was the perfect way to end the funeral. We did that when my father died 50 years ago.

So glad Cookie is doing so well and that the two of you are so happy together.
