No freebies lately - but feeling (sadly) like a broken record asking how you Texas folks are fairing. All good I hope??? Had our community yard sale today, thankfully had some help from neighbors and company all day - didn't make much but got rid of some stuff!!! (the bad part is I've been awake since 1 a.m. - I am dead tired but afraid to got to sleep this early). Anyway!! Hope you all are doing well w/the wild weather!!! (Climate change is real!)

Hey, Flamingo! Thanks for asking! I came close to posting yesterday, reporting on all the rain we've been getting here. We've had heavy rain and thunderstorms every day for almost a week. It's storming right now and supposed to continue straight through tomorrow.

I love thunderstorms -- I find them oddly relaxing. But, of course, Lulu is terrified of them and has to be sedated. So she's been sleeping almost all week.

My back yard is flooded but I have a lot of low spots out there and there's no danger of water coming into my house. The streets in my immediate area havent flooded but much of the area around me has high water. All the school districts, including mine, were closed Thursday and yesterday because of flooded streets and buildings.

I wonder how Camper and Ketabcha are doing. I think Ketabcha's area has gotten even more bad weather than mine has.

Glad to hear you are okay!! I actually told a friend that was helping w/my yard sale today that I was wondering (we'd gotten to talking about the terrible weather in TX, etc.).

I'm here!!! We were camping this weekend and can you believe we hardly saw a drop?!! We were in Austin and they said it poured right before we got there. House hardly ever got any either.

Flamingo. don't ever worry about asking about any of us. I love that you care.

Glad your yard sale went well.

Just got home and need to up pack. I will try to check in later and tell you how were are progressing on our sun room construction.

We're waterlogged in these parts but it is nothing like what Houston is getting. My backyard is underwater but none of it has gotten into the sunken den (ala late 70's). Today is beautiful with a blue sky and sunshine. More rain coming in tomorrow. The trees, shrubs and grass are all so green and I swear they are giggling.
