Thank you all for your input. I'm looking for a ranch style condo for around $200K - $225K. This is where I will be living year 'round so I really don't want to have many renters in the complex.
Guess I'll be looking in the Carolinas instead of Lewes.

Might not be a bad idea, although I know nothing about the Carolinas. Five Points is full of renters, if not year leases, vacation renters. Good Luck!

Yep, I hear ya on the renters....although it's nearly impossible to escape them if you live at the DE beaches (or any beach area, really). We have about six rental homes in my development, but we have lucked out lately and had some good people renting in here. Two renters are part of the crew building the new IR Inlet bridge. However, it wasn't always that way.

We were seriously considering buying a nice home in Covey Creek (right down the road from Five Points) two years ago, and we were surprised to learn that they had two ex-cons renting homes there even though two state troopers lived in that development!!
